The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.
SASSA will be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed in regards to the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The services issue designed for intervention experiences a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to empower the servicing of all consumers and increase use of Social Assistance companies,” the sassa status agency said.
